About:

Former member of the RLDS Church, dissented over growing liberalism in the church.
Worked with Barney Fuller in 1973-74 in setting up a RLDS "fundamental" group that held services, but did not accept tithing or contributions.
Eventually joined with the Church of Jesus Christ (Cutler), but left that group and formed the Restored Church of Jesus Christ around 1980.
Served six months in jail because of unpaid alimony to an ex-wife. Walton insisted "that God had instructed him to spend full time preaching and, therefore, he couldn't earn the money necessary to meet the alimony obligation" (Russell, p. 18).
Walton claimed to be the One Mighty and Strong.
